Reasons for Decline
- Internet Access
- Advertising
- Corporate Ownership
- Social Media
The invention of the internet meant losses in revenue in print newspaper. Newspapers can tackle these problems by becoming accessible over the internet.
Gatekeepers ~ People who control our access to traditional outlets.
Prosumers now have the ability to make & distribute media without gatekeepers.
Internet has empowered everyday citizens to post their own news
Citizen journalism is when everyday people can start becoming journalists (producing our own news stories).
New digital technologies have changed the ecology of our society, by giving citizens more power than ever, making it arguably more democratic. Social media has enabled audiences to take part in online activist campaigns such as George Floyd movement and Trump's Tulsa rally, with many issues that were previously controlled by the state, being brought more into the public sphere.

Nesbitt is its biggest sparkle. This feel-good comedy uses a cross-generational queer friendship to explore the nuances of gender in the drag world.atterson's film works some fresh variations on a familiar theme and benefits from two splendid performances.
